Everyone should know how to properly pluralize their own last name. This also includes plural possessives. Nothing irks me more than seeing something like Merry Christmas from the Smith's.

I'm sure it was a typo, and they meant to say "from the Smith's dog."
Believes in schadenfreude, design, grace, sesquipedality, glasnost, ambiguity, absolutism, relativism, doing unto others, frivolousness, charity, and not talking on the phone while checking out at the store.

Because dogs are so bad with typos.
My parents did this for many years, and then I couldn't take it any more, and I called them on it.
The card this year? "Merry Christmas from the Cusack's"
Haaanh.
Yeah we have that problem. So I just list out all our names. It's much simpler because being a spelling fanatic, it bugs me when I can't figure it out.
